The day you were born changed my life forever. 6.5 pounds of beautiful baby, so much black hair. You were such a good baby, Mike. Your Gramma loved you from the second she found out I was pregnant. She was so excited, knitting and collecting all the things we needed for your arrival. Your Grampa was so angry at me for having a baby out of wedlock. That all changed the day you were born. He came in the room all covered in sawdust, straight from work as a lumberjack. He sat down, and I carried you to him, and just laid you in his arms without a word. He just stared at you and held you until visiting ended. He hogged up the first day of your life for himself. You changed his life forever that day too. The warmth and love that you washed over everyone that day was miraculous. You are named after the Guardian Angel Michael. You brought love, to my parents and I, in life. The day you were born we became eternally bound, forever. You are with them now... and I know that you are all fine in eternity.
What's left is your brother Luke, your stepdad Charles, and me.
Help us Mike. Help us cope. We are hurting without your earthly life. Bring us joy.
